Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Psychedelic Guide Network (PGN) website and all services offered by PGN, operated by Ashley Carmen, LMFT. By accessing, browsing, or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Psychedelic Guide Network website, enrolling in any PGN program, completing an assessment, or making a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of our website and services after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Description of Services

Psychedelic Guide Network offers professional development resources for psychedelic guides and mental health professionals, including but not limited to:

  • Ethical Readiness Assessment - a self-assessment tool for evaluating readiness for psychedelic work;
  • InnerEthics® Wisdom Circles - peer consultation groups for professional development;
  • Ethics 101 Course - educational content on ethical considerations in psychedelic work;
  • InnerEthics® Certification Programs - professional development and certification paths;
  • Ethical Biography Process - a reflective professional development process.

3. SMS/Text Messaging Program

Psychedelic Guide Network may send SMS (text) messages to the phone number you provide when you apply to our programs or book a call with us. By providing your phone number and checking the applicable consent box on our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Psychedelic Guide Network.

Program Description & Use Cases

Our SMS messaging program includes:

  • Transactional Messages: Appointment confirmations, scheduling reminders, application status updates, and other service-related notifications directly related to your participation in PGN programs.
  • Marketing Messages (with separate opt-in): Promotional content, program announcements, educational updates, and information about new PGN offerings. You will only receive marketing messages if you separately opt in.

Message Frequency & Data Rates

Message frequency may vary depending on your interaction with our services (e.g., booking appointments, program enrollment activity). Standard message and data rates may apply as determined by your mobile carrier. Psychedelic Guide Network does not charge any additional fees for SMS messages.

Opt-Out Instructions

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from Psychedelic Guide Network. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message. You will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you re-subscribe.

Consent & No Sharing

Your SMS consent and phone number are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your phone number data may be shared with our SMS service providers (such as GoHighLevel and Twilio) solely for the purpose of delivering messages on our behalf.

Carrier Liability Disclaimer

Psychedelic Guide Network is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of SMS messages is subject to effective transmission by your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message availability may vary by carrier and device.

4. Age Restriction

You must be at least 18 years of age to use PGN services, including our SMS messaging program. By using our services and providing your phone number, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. PGN does not knowingly collect personal information or send SMS messages to individuals under 18.

5. NOT Therapy / Professional Services Disclaimer

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

PGN programs and services are NOT therapy, clinical supervision, or medical advice. The Psychedelic Guide Network and all associated programs, courses, assessments, and Wisdom Circles are designed for professional development and peer consultation purposes only.

Nothing on this website, in any PGN program materials, or in any PGN services constitutes:

  • Psychotherapy or clinical mental health treatment;
  • Clinical supervision as required for mental health licensure;
  • Medical advice or diagnosis;
  • A therapeutic relationship between you and Ashley Carmen, LMFT, or any PGN staff member.

InnerEthics® Wisdom Circles are peer consultation groups, not group therapy. Participants meet to discuss ethical challenges, cases, and professional development in a confidential setting with peers, but this does not constitute group therapy or clinical supervision.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency: Contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on PGN programs or communications in crisis situations.

Professional Supervision Note: PGN programs do not fulfill required clinical supervision requirements for licensure, credentialing, or regulatory purposes unless explicitly and specifically stated in individual program materials.

Medical and Psychological Concerns: If you have concerns about your mental or physical health, please consult with a licensed healthcare provider. PGN programs are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological care.

By participating in any PGN program or service, you acknowledge and accept that these programs are for professional development and peer support, and you are not entering into a therapist-client relationship with PGN staff.

6. InnerEthics® Trademark

InnerEthics® is a registered trademark of Kylea Taylor. The Psychedelic Guide Network uses InnerEthics® with permission. All InnerEthics® materials, frameworks, and methodology are the intellectual property of Kylea Taylor.

7. No Refund Policy

All purchases are final. No refunds will be issued for any PGN program, course, assessment, membership, or service, regardless of the reason for cancellation or non-completion.

By completing a purchase and providing payment, you acknowledge and agree that you have read and accept this No Refund Policy and understand that your purchase is non-refundable.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, curriculum, courses, assessments, and other intellectual property offered through the Psychedelic Guide Network are the property of Psychedelic Guide Network or are used with permission from their respective owners. This includes:

  • All course materials, curriculum, and educational content;
  • Website text, graphics, logos, images, and design elements;
  • InnerEthics® framework materials, owned by Kylea Taylor.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works from any PGN materials without prior written permission.

9. User Conduct

When using PGN services, particularly the Wisdom Circles and other group programs, you agree to:

  • Treat all participants, facilitators, and PGN staff with respect and professionalism;
  • Maintain the confidentiality of case material, personal disclosures, and identifying information shared by other participants;
  • Not misrepresent your qualifications, credentials, or professional license status;
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive conduct;
  • Not use PGN services for any illegal purpose.

PGN reserves the right to remove participants who violate these conduct standards.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • PGN is not responsible or liable for any decisions you make, actions you take, or outcomes you experience based on PGN programs or website content.
  • You assume all risk associated with your use of PGN services.
  • PGN’s total liability shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific program or service giving rise to the claim.
  • In no event shall PGN be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Confidentiality in Programs

What is shared in the Wisdom Circles and other PGN group programs stays in those programs. All participants agree to maintain strict confidentiality regarding:

  • Case material and client information discussed by participants;
  • Personal disclosures and professional challenges shared by group members;
  • Names, identities, and any identifying information about participants;
  • Any content discussed within the program setting.

Breach of confidentiality may result in immediate removal from the program.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Texas.

13. Changes to Terms

PGN reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the website and services after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
